In spring 2013, the Universal Access to Female Condoms (UAFC) Joint Programme, PATH, the Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE), and the National Female Condom Coalition (NFCC) called on filmmakers to enter Female Condoms Are_______, an international film contest.

The response was amazing. Nearly 30 films from five continents were received with filmmakers sharing their powerful and creative stories about what female condoms mean to men, women, and their communities.

At the international conference ’Women Deliver’ (28-30 May, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) the International female condom film contest announced its winner: Pathfinder International’s short film about two young activists in Mozambique.

The winning film “Female Condoms Are My Power, My Protection, My Pleasure!” is one of short films from 12 countries that were submitted to the contest to describe what female condoms mean to the filmmakers and their communities and how female condoms might enhance their lives.
